TDIC - About TDIC

The Tanzania
Development Information Centre (TDIC) is
a partnership initiative of multilateral
and bilateral agencies, administered by
Tanzania Global Development Learning Centre
(TGDLC) and The Institute of Finance Management
(IFM). The TDIC has been established to
promote the use and access to knowledge
in order to improve the effectiveness of
development programs in Tanzania. Using
the Centre’s resources, the public,
students, researchers and policy makers
have access to a wide range of information
on development.

| The TDIC involves
collaboration with individuals, groups and
institutions, through various ways: |

Direct
Contribution: Development
partners wishing to promote knowledge
and information for development can make
cash or in-kind contribution to support
the running cost of the Centre.  |

Development
Dialogue: Development
organizations or institutions conducting
development dialogues can rent TDIC facilities
i.e. TDIC dialogue room (Serengeti Room)
or connect to partners worldwide through
Video Conference facilities at the Global
Development Learning Centre (GDLC).  |

Books
and Display: Development
Partners can sell their publications on
consignment, donate books, CD-ROM &
Videos to the Library, or place their
brochures for free distribution, and can
exhibit their displays on TDIC display
panels. |
